The 2023 Ford Super Duty is a workhorse built to get things done

Super Duty’s strength and versatility define it. With the most engine options in its class, the new Super Duty offers:

  • More low-end torque is targeted in the new standard 6.8-liter V8 gas engine to facilitate easier highway merging and starting on steep grades.
  • With improved air intake and tuning, the 7.3-liter V8 is aiming for the best gas horsepower and torque in the class.
  • 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 diesel that can work for longer periods of time between oil changes
  • A brand-new, high-output 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 diesel engine tuned specifically to produce the highest levels of horsepower and torque in its class.

Every Super Duty has a 10-speed TorqShift automatic transmission that was created and manufactured by Ford, and every chassis cab model includes a power takeoff connection as standard equipment that can be used to power accessories like boom lifts and plows. Four-wheel drive is now standard on XLT models and above.

For customers who depend on body equipment and upfits, like utility cranes or plows, to complete a job, the new Ford Pro Upfit Integration System (UIS) is a game changer. This digital solution gives manufacturers of aftermarket equipment better access to the electrical and signal systems of the Super Duty to enable seamless integration and operation of their hardware into the truck’s digital displays. Equipment manufacturers can add digital buttons to their products so that drivers can operate their equipment from inside the truck by connecting the UIS with cloud-based software. High levels of customization and safety interlocks, such as ones that stop the transmission from shifting into drive when a boom lift is raised, are also possible with this system.

Pro Power Onboard, which offers more exportable power than any heavy-duty pickup or chassis cab, is now accessible for Super Duty. The 2.0-kilowatts of output can power a jobsite or tailgate party. Power outlets are available both inside the truck and cargo box and can also be installed on chassis cabs using a specialized kit.

Not just the best-in-class capabilities, but the best all-around experience.

96% of heavy-duty pickup truck owners tow with their vehicles, and Super Duty trucks offer customers the best-in-class payload and towing for all types of trailers.

The following new driver assistance technologies are now available and are intended to make towing easier and more secure:

  • Onboard scales with Smart Hitch, which provides information on trailer tongue weight distribution directly on the center touchscreen, FordPassTM app, or within the taillamps, estimate cargo weight in real time.
  • Having a 360-degree trailer camera system makes maneuvering in confined spaces simpler and virtually eliminates blind spots.
  • Blind Spot Information System for Fifth Wheel & Gooseneck**, which can be fastened to a trailer to assist in detecting when vehicles are close to a trailer and indicating this in the side view mirrors.
  • It features an updated camera and reverse sensors in the top of the tailgate that provide visual and audible alerts when the tailgate is down to make backing up to a dock or attaching a gooseneck or fifth-wheel trailer easier than ever.e
  • Automatically backing the truck up, Pro Trailer Hitch Assist** lines up the conventional hitch ball with the trailer receiver.
  • In order to avoid potential problems with low bridges and tight turns, Trailer Navigation plots routes that can be safely navigated with a given trailer’s dimensions and weight.

According to Ford Super Duty chief engineer Andrew Kernahan, “our goal was to leave drivers with zero blind spots, even when towing the longest trailers”. When the tailgate is down, customers can still see behind the truck thanks to camera views that simulate a drone. Hitching and towing has never been easier. “

Aside from camera angles, new safety and security technology is also available:

  • Automatic braking, acceleration, and lane centering are all performed by Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering to keep the truck in its lane.
  • Whenever someone tries to disconnect the trailer while the truck is locked, Trailer Theft Alert will send an alert via the FordPass app.
  • With a Ford Pro Telematics subscription, Vehicle Security can monitor impact and towing events with sensors and send alerts even when the vehicle is not in use.*
  • Fleet Start Inhibit allows Ford Pro customers to schedule timeframes for when the vehicle can be started to improve confidence around fleet operations
  • The Forward/Reverse Sensing System aids drivers by alerting them when objects are close to the front or rear of the vehicle and displaying objects directly in front of the vehicle.
  • Brake Assist helps to automatically protect against hitting objects that may otherwise be difficult to see*** by helping to prevent low-speed collisions.*
  • A full-color head-up display that changes depending on driving mode provides information right in the driver’s line of sight and aids in keeping eyes on the road.

Powering businesses into the digital age

The 2023 Ford Super Duty is the country’s first pickup with embedded 5G technology. With greater quality than 4G, AT&T’s high-performance 5G network can deliver faster navigation, mapping, and music downloads. The Qualcomm Technologies 5G modem for the Super Duty can also act as a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to 10 devices, keeping workers and families connected while they are out and about. It also supports Ford Power-Up software updates while driving, which help the truck get better over time.

With Ford Pro, a dedicated company focused on maximizing uptime, accelerating productivity, and reducing costs for commercial customers with a suite of connected vehicles, software, services, and financing, the all-new Super Duty pushes connectivity to the limit.

Owners of Super Duty small to large businesses will gain from using software tools like Ford Pro Fleet Management Software and Ford Pro Telematics, which locate vehicles, track driver behavior, and more. Customers who purchase a Super Duty vehicle also have access to Ford’s 650+ Commercial Vehicle Centers, 300+ upfitter network, expanding fleet of 700+ Mobile Service Vans, and Ford Pro FinSimple, which streamlines the leasing and buying of vehicles.

All-new tough and modern design inside and out

Seven new grilles on the entirely new exterior have been designed to maximize cooling performance while supporting heavy loads. Signature “C-clamp” lighting gives the front end a wide, planted appearance, and all trim levels now come with LED headlamps. Long side vents serve their purpose by lowering the air pressure under the hood for better aerodynamics.

New STX, Sport, and Black** Appearance Packages offer trim, wheel, and paint combinations for a little more style for customers looking to make a statement. With the new XL Off-Road Package, tough 33-inch tires, a raised air dam, water-fording axle vent tubes, skid plates, and an electronic locking rear differential are all added to F-250 or F-350 models with 4x4 single rear wheels.

The Tremor Off-Road Package consists of a front-end lift, a specially tuned suspension, a Dana front axle with a limited-slip differential and axle vent tubes, 35-inch Goodyear tires, distinctive 18-inch wheels, Trail Control, selectable drive modes, including a rock-crawl mode, and Trail Turn Assist, which is brand-new for this year.

The in-cabin experience is further enhanced with:

  • The XL model has an 8-inch center display as standard equipment, and higher trim levels have a 12-inch display as standard.
  • 12-inch digital instrument cluster with customization
  • Four USB ports and a wireless charging pad are available.
  • A tablet can be inserted into a center console slot to make using it while parked easier.
  • Maximum comfort is achieved with Max Recline Seats, which nearly horizontally fold and raise the seat bottom for a nearly flat surface.
  • For a completely immersive audio experience, choose between a 1,080-watt, 18-speaker B&O Unleashed Sound System by Bang & Olufsen or a 640-watt, eight-speaker B&O Sound SystemTM.
  • Integrated hands-free experience with Alexa and free connectivity for up to three years
