All New Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Plug in Hybrid

Jeep Grand Cherokee

Jeep debuted its newest-generation Grand Cherokee SUV with the new three-row L variant first, followed by the traditional two-row version a few months later.

The most off-road capable model, the Trailhawk, returned to the lineup in the second round of Grand Cherokee debuts.

It was only available in two-row Grand Cherokees with a gas V-6 engine or the 4xe plug-in hybrid powertrain, and now, one year later, those options are being cut in half: the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk will only be available in 4xe.

The various models of the New Jeep® Grand Cherokee 4xe share a prominent level of premium refinement, technological innovation, advanced 4×4 capability, and electrification, each with their own distinct characteristics for satisfying any aesthetic taste and driving needs. With their arrival, the new Jeep fleet continues on the path it set with the success of the Grand Cherokee 4xe Exclusive Launch Edition, which sold out in a matter of weeks.

Certainly, the arrival of the entire range will allow the new Jeep SUV to build on the high regard for the American brand’s “4xe” models. A badge that identifies the evolution of capability, combining sustainability, efficiency, and even more safety and driving pleasure.
The Jeep brand introduced the Grand Cherokee in 1992 by literally driving the SUV up the steps of Cobo Hall in Detroit and through a glass window, symbolizing the breakthrough premium SUV, and it quickly became synonymous with upscale design and uncompromised capability.

The New Jeep Grand Cherokee Sets the Standard

The arrival of the New Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe in Europe is the latest step in Jeep’s electrification journey, according to Antonella Bruno, Head of the Jeep Brand in Europe. We began this journey in the fourth quarter of 2020 with the Renegade and Compass 4xe, followed by the Wrangler 4xe the following year. Success quickly followed, with more than one in every three Jeeps sold in Europe in the first quarter of 2022 being a 4xe, and Italy leading the LEV market, which includes plug-in hybrids and BEVs. Now it’s up to the new Jeep Grand Cherokee 4×4 to continue the success.
